Introductory
Illustrator is another relevant skill to the broad fields of journalism, writing, and freelance. With an English major, I can choose to work in communications (especially if I consider getting a master's in communications) to work with digital media or social media. A lot of brands, companies, and libraries want to have their own logos to personalize the experience of their print, social media accounts, and website.
Personal Logo
Knowing how to personalize an employer's experience with their websites, brand, and social media is a marketable skill, especially when you combine it with analytical writing skills. As English is a broad field, and I'm looking for career variety, I could end up working in an entry-level communications position where it would be beneficial to explain that I already know how to work with Illustrator as a program. Regarding my personal goals with writing and creating a publication, I would be able to make my own logo that represents my personal vision that correlates with the theme and style of my writing.
